Literature Text
Hidden beyond our knowledge and sight
On the mountain side he gracefully stands
Always watching over us, day and night,
His vision reaching over forests and lands.
With power to bring sunshine and storms,
A voice that flows like music in the wind,
His presence takes many shapes and forms
And sows mysteries unknown to our kind.
A few claimed seeing him during clear nights,
Gliding over treetops when the moon is bright,
Shrouded in colors clear as the northern lights
And a beauty that no fantasy can ever write.
There may be others or he might be the last
Living in this wide world that we call home
Some say he’s a remnant from days long past,
When other creatures of legend still roamed.
We may never know his real and true purpose,
Or whether he will come here for all to see,
But we keep him alive in stories and verses
So he can have the strength to forever fly free.

The Dragon's Den - A Short Story
The Dragon’s Den
Miles knew the sounds of the sleeping house, the oppressive quiet. He heard his own breaths and the wind blowing gently against the window, the soft rustle of his sheets as he moved in bed. Blanketed by darkness, there wasn’t much to see in his room; a small night light on the far wall cast its pale glow on a pile of colorful children’s books.
The boy waited for a few more minutes, listening for any interruptions to the stillness. Sensing nothing, he carefully slid from under the blankets and out of bed, hands clasping around a book that lay on the shelf nearby. He padded silently to the small closet and e

Adopted by a dragon
He's sleeping peacefully
resting his little head
upon my black forepaw,
a smile of content in his mouth.
My yellow eyes,
each one bigger than his hands,
look at him,
so young and fragile,
and still heartbroken.
Oh, I remember
the day when I had first found him,
he was so afraid and confused,
and how blame him?
He had just lived
the greatest tragedy
a child could live,
regardless of his race...
but I just offered
my paws to him.
Slowly, but constantly
he accepted me:
and now he lives with me.
My inner conscience torments me
every day,
and asks me if I had done the right thing,
take him away from what is his own race,

Reunion
I ignored the commotion around me and immediately sprinted across the field. Alex ran toward me as well; I saw Scott and Ferenor spill out of the trees after her. In a matter of seconds, I had closed the distance and had to brake with my talons, slowing myself but still crashing into my sister hard.
She let out a cry but held on tight to my neck. I wrapped my forelegs around her, holding her close, feeling the tears escape my eyes. Alex pulled away after a long moment and wiped a hand across her face. Then she surprised me with a playful punch to the shoulder.
“That’s for almost knocking the wind out of me,” s

A poem I originally posted a few days ago, but after reading it a few times I felt that it was missing something, that it was incomplete. So I'm now re-uploading it in a revised version.
Some of us believe that there's a dragon out there, always watching over us. He may never reveal himself, but we have to keep our faith that he will always be there to help us when we need him. Enjoy and have a pleasant reading!
